Description
The security technician is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all customer premises andeveryone's adherence to day-to-day safety policies and procedures. The agent is the first person that customers meet when they enter the facility, customer service experience are paramount to the position. The security technician is also responsible for the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and basic maintenance of safety equipment and systems. This role is also responsible for the rapid resolution of customer roommate requests as well as internal incident tickets - this includes emergency response, resolution and escalation related to equipment or the individual in the premises and communication of any problems to management and customers.
The security agent will have to:
- Welcome visitors, contractors, and employees provide advice and information as needed.
- Operate and monitor computer workstations and emergency systems.
- Administer and maintain the process for the control systems and database used in the Network Operating Centre.
- Coordinate between the facility and the data centre operation team for facility safety and communications and alarm response, including, but not limited to, medical emergencies, fires and others.
- Liaison with law enforcement and emergency services as required.
- Receive, evaluate, and disseminate incoming information and reports, including information from security personnel, employees, suppliers and local agencies.
- Coordinate and execute security services access and escort requests.
- Administer the access management system and associated databases and programs in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct security-related audits as directed.
- Complete and submit daily activity reports, recording all activities and assignments during the assigned schedule.
- Provide written and electronic transmission information and updates for the next schedule
- Respond to incidents and events and initiate incident reports if necessary.
- Monitor, reassemble, and communicate security and facility alarms and incidents.
- Monitor and respond to requests from customers, suppliers and internal staff through the company's proprietary ticketing system, emails and telephone communications.
Requirements
- Education - Secondary 5 (DES) completed
- Experience in the field - 1-2 years.
- Hiring date - Immediate
- Spoken and written languages: - French, English an asset
- Other - Must have valid BSP permit (compulsory)
